Interview with the members Ms. and Mr. Francescato
What are the special features and complexity of your production type?
We are a manufacturer of screws with great flexibility in diameter and materials used, and in recent years we have also enhanced the machining on special screws, a successful diversification with the complexity of having to manage both large and small production lots.
What requirements have prompted you to consider the adoption of a management system for turning?
There was a need for better management of production batches, to standardize information and above all to have it available in a short time. To give an idea, in the first six months of 2011 we handled more than 560 requests for quotes to design, that without the help of a management system like Metronomo.Net, it would have been impossible to fulfill quickly.

How long did the Software Selection on Suppliers last?
About 3 years, but it is a time partly due to the needs of realizing our new production site, was also due to our internal organizational changes that have favored the choice of a modern management system.
What are the reasons for your choices?
Several of the companies we interviewed were either not as specific or far in excess of our basic needs. In addition, your proven background and experience in the mechanical sector is certainly an advantage when implementing a new production management system in a precision workshop. For these reasons we have chosen MecMatica Srl, speak our language!
Once the project was confirmed, were there any delays?
No, everything was according to the schedule agreed with the supplier in just over a month.
How many people were involved in the project within your company?
Mainly the project was followed by 2 people, one for production and one for office.
How were the relations with MecMatica both on the commercial and technical side?
Very good, no negative episode comes to mind.
With Metronomo.Net what significant differences did you see?
The company organization is less dispersive, the data are consistent and homogeneous, and above all giving answers has become easier and faster than before. When I am an inexperienced user, I ask questions to my wife who uses Metronomo every day, I get answers that allow me to make decisions.
In the management of the workshop what has changed instead?
The greatest advantage we had in the management of the stock of raw material, thanks to the management of our needs punctual and updated at the production level, also with the packing list both the storer works better, We both have to organize things in the office and decide when to stock up.
Are further developments planned with the Supplier?
The next step will be to manage the production assembly and recovery work, a part of the work that is increasingly demanding us and for which is necessary a precise and automatic internal consolidation.
In light of the vs. first-hand experience, would you recommend MecMatica as a management provider?
Never to a competitor of mine! For obvious reasons of competitive advantage that we have acquired.
